I did a survey on my Instagram channel and you asked for more hearty recipes. I’m incredibly pleased and I can’t wait to introduce you to my super easy tomato sauce recipe. Made in just 15 minutes. Doesn’t that sound great?
That makes this recipe an easy dinner or lunch. Especially during the week when things have to be quick.
And if you can’t manage to eat up everything, the rest of the food can be kept in the refrigerator and will only taste stronger and better the next day. It’s like stews. But maybe not a single drop of this delicious sauce will be left 😋.
Check it out for yourself.

- 500 g of pasta
- 2×400 g tomato passata
- 1 large onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder sweet
- 2 teaspoons tarragon – dried
- 1 teaspoon basil – dried
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- Salt as needed
Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
Slowly heat the oil in a pan. Chop the onion and fry it.
Be sure to fry the onion on medium heat so that its full aroma can be released. After a few minutes add the brown sugar.
Press the garlic and fry it as well.
Now add all the remaining spices and roast them nicely to fully use the aroma. Then deglaze with the tomato passata and simmer for 10 minutes.
At the end, salt as needed and enjoy with the pasta.
The sauce will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
