We’ve been in the apple-cinnamon vibe for weeks. First cake, then granola and now donuts. at why not? Autumn is so golden and all of these tastes are just too inviting to be used. To be used for all these wonderful creations.

I especially wanted to try the apple cinnamon donuts for ages. And what should I say? They have gotten even better than initially thought. My son couldn’t stop. He had completely eaten 2 Donuts. I had to stop him right there otherwise not everyone would have gotten something.

Now you have to bake again first. But that’s really easy to do. You will see that for yourself right away. They are very easy. What I can highly recommend is a piping bag for the dough. That makes baking so much easier. Because this makes it easy to get the dough into the mold.

Have you ever made donuts yourself? I really prefer the baked donuts. The ones baked in fat are just too … fatty for me! Although it also has something.

Ingredients
  • 125 g flour I used type 630 spelled flour
  • 60 g brown sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder / pulp
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil – melted
  • 2 tbsp applesauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 60 ml apple juice
  • 50-75 g brown sugar – for the sugar topping
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon – for the sugar topping
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ℃ and grease a donut pan for 6 donuts with coconut oil.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients for the donuts in a bowl.
  3. Combine all the wet ingredients in a second bowl.
  4. Now place the wet on the dry ingredients and mix quickly with a large spoon. Not too much, otherwise the dough won’t rise well.
  5. Now put the dough in a piping bag with a large spout, or simply a small bag with a cut off corner. This allows the dough to splash easily into the molds.
  6. Then bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. In the meantime, prepare the sugar topping in a deep plate. To do this, simply mix brown sugar with cinnamon.

  8. Let the donuts cool down briefly. Then take it out of the mold slightly and brush with coconut oil. Then roll in the sugar topping and place on a wire rack to cool completely or enjoy lukewarm.
